SA/NT Summer School

Aldinga Beach Holiday Park - 22 to 26 January 2026

Welcome

A cherished gathering for families, youth, children, and our friends to come together in learning and fellowship. Together, we deepen our understanding of the Teachings, strengthen community bonds, and draw inspiration for building vibrant, flourishing neighbourhoods.

"The real purpose of these Summer Schools is to deepen the knowledge of the friends…." — Shoghi Effendi

"How wonderful it would be if all the friends could arrange to spend at least a few days in one of these summer schools and take an active part in their development…. — Shoghi Effendi

Theme of SA/NT Summer School

"Families as Foundations of Flourishing Communities" connecting to “Releasing the Society-Building Power of the Faith”

The Nine-Year Plan emphasises the development of communities that are outward-looking and capable of contributing to social transformation. By strengthening family bonds and fostering spiritual education within the home, we lay the groundwork for communities that embody unity, cooperation, and collective progress.

This year, we will explore:

·       Understanding the role of the family in community development

·       Applying Bahá’í teachings to enhance family life

·       Cultivating qualities such as trustworthiness, cooperation, and forbearance within the family unit

·       Exploring the intersection of family life and social transformation

·       How artistic expression, conversation, and shared activities can illustrate the transformative power of the Bahá’í Faith in society.

The Summer School Experience

Atmosphere: UNITED • INCLUSIVE • filled with WARMTH • animated by a yearning for SERVICE

Families and friends from your neighbourhoods and circles are warmly invited to join. All ages are welcome!

A Cumulative Experience

Summer School is cumulative — the program builds throughout the days, and friends are encouraged to attend all sessions to experience the full benefit of this spiritual and educational gathering.

"They must try and introduce the Bahá'í atmosphere of life and thought into their Summer Schools, rather than making the Summer School an episode and a pleasant vacation period, during which they learn a little more about the Faith."
— Letter on behalf of the Guardian to the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States, May 23, 1954
